Malacca is the oldest state in Malaysia and was founded by a Sumatran Prince, Parameswara, in the year 1403. It became a very active and domineering trading port, enticing traders from places like China, India, Arabia and Europe. It has a colourful history, as it was colonized first by the Portuguese in 1511, then the Dutch in 1641 and finally by the British in the year 1824.

As Malacca has been officially declared as the Historical City of Malaysia, you can visit many scenic spots like the A Famosa Water World, Bukit China and the Cultural Museum.
